The Strategic Command Team is responsible for strategic issues and for long-term leadership, forward planning and steering policy formulation. It does not normally involve itself in day-to-day implementation of guidance and procedures but monitors outcomes of the decisions of the Functional Command Team in relation to the Strategic Objectives.
