Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2010/13
Our draft Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) for 2010-13 incorporates a strategy and plans for tackling the challenges that face the modern Fire and Rescue Service in making our communities safer.
The Combined Fire Authority has asked officers to consider how best to reflect and communicate any changes in the CRMP, resulting from an evaluation of responses to a consultation exercise carried out earlier in the year, for approval by the Combined Fire Authority at its meeting on 9 September 2010.
What is Community Risk Management Planning?
Community Risk Management Planning is a flexible process used to identify, measure and reduce the social and economic impact that fire and other emergencies can have on individuals, communities, commerce, industry, the environment and heritage.
This is achieved by assessing the risks that our communities face and then, through a combination of prevention, protection and response measures, setting in place strategies to improve community safety whilst also ensuring the safety of firefighters.
