As part of the Standard we have developed a Corporate Equality Scheme in which we outline our commitment to making equality and diversity part of our everyday working, eliminating unlawful discrimination and promoting equality of opportunity. This Scheme is accompanied by a 3 year Action Plan that details what we intend to do and the outcomes we want to achieve in all our services, communications and engagement with the community, recruitment and selection processes, policies and procedures, procurement and partnership working.
The standard has five levels of achievement:
Level 1 Commitment to a comprehensive Equality Policy
Level 2 Assessment and consultation
Level 3 Setting equality objectives and targets
Level 4 Information systems and monitoring against equality targets
Level 5 Achieving and reviewing outcomes
