Service Case for Diversity 

Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service (BLFRS) were one of the first Fire and Rescue Services to publish a Service Case for Diversity during 1997. Following our recent involvement in a national review project in this area of work, we reviewed our current Service Case for Diversity and have re-launched an updated version which now not only reflects our corporate beliefs about diversity but encourages all employees to reflect on what the Service Case for Diversity means to them.

The Service Case serves to underpin our strategic aims and objectives, as we believe equality and diversity plays a major part in the delivery of those aims and objects.

The Service's purpose is to work toward a safer society and, through the actions of an effective, efficient, quality drived and supported workforce, we will make a signigicant contribution to the safety of all those who live, work or have cause to travel through the County of Bedfordshire and Luton.
