Incident at Sandy Scrap Yard

Fire crews from Sandy, Potton, Biggleswade and St Neots in Cambridgeshire were called to deal with a blaze involving 30 cars at a scrap yard on Friday 14 March 2008.

The fire in London Road Industrial Estate, Sandy was reported at 22.41 hours and firefighters, co-ordinated by an Incident Command Unit and helped by the use of a water carrier unit, worked until 00.20 hours to put the flames out.
