Crews attended from Ampthill, Toddington and Shefford Fire Stations together with the Aerial Platform from Luton.
The first floor was alight and firefighters using breathing apparatus and Aerial Platform were involved in fighting fire.
Two people were treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance staff.
Police closed the road to keep traffic clear.
At 16.00 hours firefighters were still at the scene sifting through damaged material on first floor.
