fire-fighters who can provide cover and respond to emergency calls within
five minutes, day or night, 365 days a year. Many have full time jobs and
respond during work time, others in their leisure time. Sometimes there
may be fire-fighters at retained stations during office hours for
administrative work, and all personnel attend at least one evening a week
for training. These stations are found in the smaller towns and villages. |
